Custom form automations - e-mail to submitter

I would like to set up an automation to send an e-mail to the visitor after custom form submissions and wanted to know if I can set the recipient to be the e-mail address that’s submitted in the custom form.

In other words, when setting up an automation for regular (non-custom) Wix Forms there’s the option to send to “trigger contact”, and I wondered if there’s an equivalent for custom forms. The only option I’m seeing is to add a pre-existing e-mail address or one from the existing Contact list.

You can do it in CMS option of automation.

In the automation settings, select the trigger as CMS, there you can select the input fields as trigger.

I’m able to do the trigger but the issue is with setting the recipient e-mail as the e-mail input field.

Meaning, I can easily trigger an e-mail on custom form submission to myself or any e-mail I put in manually in the recipients section. But I don’t see a way to put in a customizable email per input field.

Here’s what I mean:

Wix Forms recipient options includes the trigger contact

CMS form recipient options can only be filled manually and the options are contacts vs. collaborator roles:

Is there an option to create contact in actions? If yes, try that to add your CMS input to create a contact first

Yes I had the same thought and it is possible to create contact either with Automations or using code, but I don’t think it solves the issue because I can still only choose a specific (pre-existing) contact from the contact list as a recipient and I don’t see a way to customize it to each submission:

How about using zapier? If you have less then 100 inputs per month, you can use the zapier to trigger the automation.

I am also having this issue! My interface looks different to this article (Wix Automations: Creating a New Automation | Help Center | Wix.com) and I feel does not allow as many options.
