Deal - tax department 3 month processing?

We use Wix as a business. We use corproate tax exempt cards for payment. Its not uncommon for those cards to change. But with every new card the system charges tax until you reverify its tax exempt. This is common. Squarespace is the same way, as well as many other similar companies. Recently we changed cards and got taxed. No big deal. Make the tax exempt request, complete the form, and Wix/Square tells me it will be forwarded to tax department and (wait for it) it will take the tax department several months to process! Months. So if you are in a similar position be warned. Unfortunaltely, this is just not acceptable in ana academic tax exempt scenerio. Business office not happy at all. I thik the longest I ever waitied for Squarespace, NEtwork Solutions, Endnote, etc maybe 7 days. Deal breaker for us because our card will change again and cant wait months for a simple tax refund. Will be moving the sites from Wix. Bummer, because this shouldnt be this difficult. Assuem they are using a third party tac department - or something major has changed. Anyway, FYI if you are in this situation.
