Displaying a "loading" message when switching pages

I just spent a week building an awesome website with WIX. Love the editor and all the features.

When testing it in the real world, however, the pages seem to load really slow. I’ve followed all the optimization guidelines, but unless I remove all my video content and event calendars, it takes a couple seconds to load.

What I want to do, and I thought this might be possible with Corvid and a little javascript was to respond to all links immediately wiht a “loading” message or just to dim the screen or something - just to give the user a visual clue that SOMETHING is happening. Right now the user may think the link is broken and give up. Two seconds is way too long to wait.

Anyway, is this something that can get accomplished with Corvid? If so can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction as to how to start.

Thanks.

I had the same issue,
my solution was to display a “loading gif” while all of the information has been calculated, and only after Its done hide the gif and show the rest of the page.
I’m not sure this is the best solution but it works for me

That would be perfectly fine. I just have no idea how to do that on WIX or with Corvid. Can you pass along your snippit?

Thanks.

What elements do you have in your page?that takes time to load

I do have a WIX video at the top of three of my pages. However, removing that element only makes a small difference in load time.

here’s the site: johnstanleyshelley dot com.

In my phone and pc the site loads very fast.
mabye this is a problem with your Internet?
