Do I need to upgrade to a premium version of Wix to have full control over the CSS using a global.css file and code in wix IDE?

Hello, do I need to upgrade to a premium version of Wix to have full control over the CSS using a global.css file and code in wix IDE ?

I’ve explored the Wix Studio Editor, but I don’t see an option to manage a global.css file. I’ve also reviewed articles and forums, but I couldn’t find a definitive answer regarding whether CSS control requires a premium plan.

I’m currently using the free version of Wix, and I’m not sure if upgrading would unlock the ability to upload and control a global.css file and code in Wix IDE.

I appreciate any insights or advice you can share on this topic

Hi, Jawher_KASSAS !!

You can use global.css even with the free plan. However, please note that there are certain CSS properties that cannot be applied using global.css.

Hello, onemoretime !
I shared with you screenshots of my menu when I activate Velo, but there is nothing related to CSS properties.
Can you help?

In the section where your page code is stored, there should be a menu labeled “CSS,” within which the global.css file is located. To access it, please select the {} icon. Typically, a button labeled “Add global.css” should be visible; clicking it will add the file. Is this option not appearing for you?

Yes, the global CSS option was not showing for me. The problem was that I was using the classic Wix editor. After switching to Wix Studio, I found the CSS option. Anyway, thank you for your help onemoretime !

I’m glad to hear that! I had a feeling something was off, but I didn’t realize it was because of the different editor. :upside_down_face:

I hope this experience helps you become more familiar with the features of the Wix Studio editor. From now on, let’s enjoy working with global.css together to create unique web experiences! :raised_hands: :raised_hands: :raised_hands:
