If anyone can assist here, I just realized that in my tweaking perhaps I lost the config, but I thought that one could dedicate a table column to show a submitted doc from user, so when you view the collection in a read/write dataset on a page, you should then be able to click on the item in the cell and have it load in the browser, right? What did I miss here? I cant even get the table to show the uploaded user doc regardless if I make the table read only, write or read/write. Also, point me toward the instructions for having a cell click instead of an entire row if thats necessary in this case. I would expect to click on a cell item doc name and have that doc load in the browser from the read-only version of the table.
Hi,
Next to the document name field, click the Link icon and in the ‘Column Links to’ line select the document field.
You should now have a clickable table.
Sorry I was not more clear; the column title “document” doesn’t exist when I go to add a column; it exists in the DB sandbox and live sandbox, but not as an item to add in a table on the user page.
I created this on another page and tried to hook to it, but here though it does show up (dataset is read only), it is greyed out and not available. Does a dataset have to be read only to even get the option to show up, and if so, why isnt this able to be selected?
I connected the title field to my document field as Ido suggested but the table still shows empty when viewed. I have all permissions set to anyone. I set the link to Id field just to test and it showed up just fine. Why wont the document field show anything. I confirmed I have a word document in the collection.
