I’m running into an issue with two CMS collections and their associated dynamic pages on my Wix Studio site — one for Residential(Houses) and one for Commercial(Hospitality).
On the Residential side:
-
I have a repeater connected to the Residential CMS.
-
When an item is clicked, the browser URL changes immediately to the correct dynamic page, and the browser Back button works correctly.
On the Commercial side:
-
I’ve set it up identically: a repeater connected to the Commercial CMS, each item with a unique slug and dynamic page.
-
The page functions correctly. On hover, the correct unique URL shows in the status bar.
-
But when you click, the browser URL does not change — until a second interaction (like navigating again or refreshing).
-
This breaks browser navigation and prevents users from sharing or bookmarking pages properly.
Both collections have dynamic item pages, all page links are populated, and the dataset setups appear to be identical. The residential CMS does have some dynamic fields, but they are not in use and reference a page template that is not live (I inherited this site).
I’ve also seen notes about using dynamic URLs in the SEO settings, but interestingly, my working Residential section does not have a fully defined dynamic slug — and it still functions correctly.
What am I missing here? Is there a hidden setting or linking method I need to double-check on the Commercial side? Would love any ideas!
Thanks in advance!
