Edge displaying image titles

Hi,

I’ve run into a really odd issue and I’m hoping someone’s seen this before.

On my site, images inside a repeater are showing their file names (e.g. “VW Polo R-Line.png”) as a hover tooltip — but only in Microsoft Edge.

Key points:

  • Only happens in Edge (Chrome + Firefox are fine)

  • Only affects images inside the repeater

  • Includes all images in the repeater (main image + small icons)

  • Images elsewhere on the site don’t do this

  • I’ve tried setting tooltip to null and changing alt text via Velo — no change

  • Renaming the image files didn’t fix it either

It only started happening today, and nothing has changed on my end.

It feels like Edge is picking up some kind of title/metadata that Wix is applying when the repeater renders.

Has anyone else had this? Or found a way to stop the filenames showing on hover?

Thanks :+1:

This definitely sounds like some data being used from the image metadata. Have you got a link to the site?
