Edit: Position Filled! Seeking Wix Junior Designer

EDIT This position has been filled!

Hi there, My name is Courtney and I’ve been a Wix designer for about 10 years. I love making great websites and partnering with awesome people. You can see the kind of work I do at www.courtneymansell.com .

I’m seeking a remote, long-term, project-based Wix Junior Designer to help me with ongoing work on my clients’ Wix websites. You’ll be a bonafide member of a 3-person design team with your photo shown on our website’s team page.

Your work would include:

  • Some beginner but mostly intermediate Wix tasks

  • After being given a style guide, setting up font and color in the theme manager, and then applying it to all text on all webpages

  • Taking a written creative brief, a fully designed homepage, and then creating additional web pages based on the established design and brand

Skillset Needed

  • An eye for good design (visual hierarchy, typography, layout, color, brand)

  • You rock at Wix and have at least 2 year experience in it.

  • You typically respond to emails within a day

  • Working from any timezone is fine, just be conversationally fluent in English. I am in MST (Arizona, USA) timezone.

  • You’re comfortable in project management software like Zoho Projects (or willing to learn it)

  • Adobe software (photoshop, illustrator) skills are a huge plus

  • Not looking for an agency team - just one individual designer

  • You take your work, but not yourself, seriously.

Extra awesome (and will pay more) if you have:

  • Coding abilities (javascript, corvid/velo)

  • Skills in more advanced Wix applications like databases, members, stores, bookings, custom forms.

Hours & Pay

  • I’m open to pay in terms of doing hourly or project-based or whatever works for you, but generally, I’m looking to pay about $35 USD/hour.

  • Your paid time isn’t just when you’re in the editor, but also includes time spent on training, project management, emails, and meetings.

  • This will be project-based, with anywhere from 1 to 3 websites a month that may need 6-20 hours of work each. Potentially an average of 24 hours ($840) per month.

  • Looking to start this coming week (around April 13 … or whenever we find a designer!)

Sound like you?
