Editor X Vs Webflow

Can I hear from the community what their thoughts are on how editor X is improving specifically relative to weblow?
Is the Code getting cleaner which was I believe one of the complaints? Is it as sophisticated as Weblow on Functionality?

It is not as sophisticated as webflow.
I have used both, I find editor x is much faster for development but in terms of getting into the nitty gritty, I am someone who loves to use obscure CSS effects in my designs, with Editor X that is a huge pain.

For example, you cant use inner element shadows or even text shadows, no gradients, you cant even have a sticky element in a no overflow section.

The biggest reason to use editor x over webflow for me is the client experience and extra perks, for example the shopping and members account is much better in editor x because its using the wix library that has already been working on that stuff for many years before webflow.

But if you want full control over your design work then go with webflow, designing on editor x feeling like your fighting against the editor unless the website is very barebones simple.

Thanks so much.
Do you believe it is structurally inferior (i.e. serving a different audience) or it may improve over time?

Both are great in their own ways, you just need to understand where each would best suit in.

Absolutely, they actually work well together depending on use case

I think both have huge potential, Editor X is getting more technical with each update, reversely webflow has been simplify its technical side. Both are hugely improving with each update.

Personally, just because I love the client experience I choose Editor X for 80% of my projects.

I wrote an article comparison between Editor X and WebFlow for those interested
