I’ve been having trouble editing the text of my website because (as far as I can tell) it’s impossible to edit it without having a massive “Text Settings” popup visible at the same time. This popup (again, as far as I can tell) can’t be minimized, resized, closed or even moved to on top of the menu where it would be out of the way. (I can move it, but only to cover different parts of my site in the editor.) I’m trying to read and edit several paragraphs of text which go all the way across my screen, so having to find a place for a popup that covers probably 2/3 of the height of my screen, and which MUST overlap my site, is a real problem.
Worst of all, I don’t even WANT to change any of my text’s settings at the moment, I just want to change what it SAYS. I suspect that, in general, people are likely to want to change the content of text much more often than anything in the “Text Settings” popup. So there’s no reason, from my perspective, why this popup needs to be there at all. If I could close or minimize it and continue editing the text, I would, and there would be no further problem.
If I’ve missed something, and it’s already possible to edit text without the “Text Settings” popup, can someone tell me how? If not, could you please make it possible? Or at least make the popup less intrusive (say, make it possible to minimize it or move it outside the part of the editor that shows the website)?
