Feature Release: Contactless Dine-In

With this feature, restaurant owners can allow customers to view their menu, place orders online, pay, and get their food delivered to their table without face to face restaurant staff interaction!

You can set up the contactless dine-in ordering process for your customers by giving instructions, adding a table number field, or printing your restaurant’s QR code and place it in your restaurant for easy customer access.

Keep in mind that pickup must be enabled for this feature to work.

Contactless dine-in orders can be found in your Orders tab as seen in the image below.

How do customers make dine-in orders?

All they have to do is scan the QR code using their mobile phones which all grant them access the menu, allowing them to place an order. During the checkout process, dine-in is automatically the delivery method and customers have to input their location in the restaurant (e.g. booth or table number).

For steps on enabling this feature, refer to the article below.

Hello, currently this feature is not available on Editor X.
Are there any plans to adapt it for Editor X? Thanks.

Is there a way to pass it the table number maybe via a QR code or something?

Hi Francis, I’ll have our Product Expert check and get back to you with a response.

Great question Christian, I’ll have our Product Expert look into this.

Hi there!

Can you please elaborate on this matter? What exactly do you mean by passing the table number?

Hi Francis,

I understand how important this is however Editor X is not compatible with Wix Restaurants Orders.

There is no current ETA for when this will be implemented, and will be forwarding your feedback to our product team.

I think he means that guest don’t have to fill in the table number manually. It should be filled up automatically by the QR-Code they scanned.

And that would be great btw
