I was wondering if Wix is working on a way to include non-contact ordering in the Wix Restaurant App. At the moment, Pick-up orders, delivery orders, and reservation booking is possible but I was wondering if customers can make orders in the restaurant and let restaurant management know they are in the restaurant. And then perhaps send a notification to the customer that their food is ready. In regards to QR code scans, I am thinking of just doing a workaround where I create the QR code for the restaurant website by going to a QR code maker and then place the QR code on the table in restaurants or at the Cash register.
@purerelish Hi, can you share links and advise on some tips? Did you just create signage in the restaurant as a guide, or did you make it all functional via notification emails?
Leo, thanks for your message. Per my post, I am able to create QR codes without issue. I wanted an option where the restaurant employees knows that the order is not pick-up but for ‘sit-in’. And they would know which table (example: sit in order - table 8).
There are many restaurants that allow for non-contact ordering while at the table.
