Full content portability and export capabilities

As a Wix customer, I would like to raise what I believe is one of the most important missing features on the platform: full content portability and export capabilities.

Wix continues to invest significant resources into new Studio features, design tools, AI capabilities, and additional functionality.

However, one of the most fundamental rights of users remains inadequately addressed: the ability to retrieve and migrate their own content.

After recently experiencing service issues and exploring migration options, I was surprised to learn that there is currently no practical way to export blog posts, categories, and tags in a transferable format.

For websites containing dozens or even hundreds of articles, manually copying content is not a realistic solution.

A modern website platform should not only focus on attracting users but also respect their ability to leave if they choose to do so.

Data portability is not a luxury feature. It is a fundamental aspect of user trust and ownership.

When users create years of content on a platform, they should have a practical way to export and migrate that content without rebuilding everything from scratch.

The absence of a proper export system creates the impression of a closed ecosystem where customers become increasingly dependent on the platform simply because leaving is difficult.

Instead of prioritizing additional features that many users may never need, I strongly encourage Wix to prioritize full blog export and migration tools.

Giving users the freedom to leave does not weaken a platform. It strengthens trust in it.

I hope Wix considers this a priority rather than a future feature request.

have you tried exporting from the Blog posts CMS to a csv file ?

I have never had to export to another platform, so it may also depend on that platforms system requirements.
