Hi, I would like to make my video full-screen like this:
https://studio2055-template.webflow.io/
I have tried with a video box, but it needs a focus point - I want it to be seen in all edges, not a particular one.
With the video player the trouble is a black background that appears.
Thanks in advance.
Hey!
I’ve done something similar on one of my sites and my best practice was to make the video the background of a section instead of an item on the page.
Just create a new section, go to the inspector, click design icon, then choose your video under media. Under layout in inspector, make the section min heigh 100VH. This makes it appear full screen.
The video as a section background can also be cool because you can add scroll effects. Click on the section and click that little diamond with arrows and choose your desired effect. I recommend parallax but obviously your choice!
Hope this helps
Thank you very much for your answer! I’ve tried it about a second ago and there is a problem with the focal point AGAIN. I don’t understand why Editor X insists on focal points ;D.
Still, your idea was something I forgot about and thanks again. :)))
Np! You can change the focal point (or at least shift it a bit) in the same inspector where you changed the media for the section. Next to “Change Media”, there’s a focal point button. It also just depends on the media’s dimensions. Like even if you’re choosing the top right corner of the media , it won’t make that the absolute center.
So maybe try editing the video to a more horizontal layout outside of Editor X and re-upload so it fits better? I’ve had issues with some photos so I feel ya!
Yeah, I think this is my only option left - to cut the video somehow, which I don’t want to do, but…
@tesy-digital hi there, could you share with us video of actions you are doing, so we will be able to take a closer look on the video background you’ve got?
Thanks for your response! I have already figured out what the settings for my video box are (the min height and width are individual, in my case these work):

I hope this helps!
nice!
it could always differs a bit from site to site, from video to video
thank you for sharing your experience with the Community!
