This is to the Editor X developers:

First of all, you all are doing an amazing job. I love using Editor X because it’s so user friendly and I can focus on the part I love the most, designing.

However, there are some things that I’d love to see in the future:

Updated viewports:
I’m going to reference iPhone because that’s what I have (sorry android users)! Not many people use iPhone 6/7/8 anymore and there’s no option for more recent viewports such as iPhone 11/12/13. I think this might help with the problem below as well.

Preview Site vs Live Site:
I don’t understand the point of having a preview option when the live version looks so different. An Editor X team member recommended I try a plugin, but it hasn’t been updated since 2019 and was pretty glitchy. They also tried explaining the different units of measurement (px, vh, vw, calculation, etc) and maybe it’s because my math skills are subpar, but that was confusing to me as well. Either way, we shouldn’t have to use a plugin in the first place.

Again, I love Editor X and I hope these can be taken into consideration amongst other exciting upgrades. Keep up the great work! :tada:

@kristina-bowman Will chime in that I believe the editor tries to get a viewport similar to your current size. If you want to double-check versus your own browser, would suggest using sites like https://whatismyviewport.com/ to get your viewport and check the preview range at that.

As for tips for responsive sites and how to structure it, these resources may help:

Thank you for the additional resources and help. For some reason the mobile view port gives me the most trouble, but after using the link you sent, it’s made a big difference.

Clearly I still have a lot to learn and I truly appreciate the support in the process :). Thanks again!
