Google Sheets to Wix Database

Is there currently any way to import information from Google Sheets to the Wix Database? I am trying to connect Jotform submissions to the Wix Database. I assume this is the best option with Jotform if anything is possible there. If there are suggestions for a better form builder that works with the Wix Database I would love to hear them! I like Jotform because of the ability to build great forms quickly and easily, collect signatures, and for additional payment options. I would just use them with Google Sheets outside of Wix but I need the data collected to integrate with Dynamic pages.

Thanks in advance!

You can import data to your Wix database from a CSV file. For more information, see this article.

Hi Sharon, Sorry I’ve taken so long to respond. I didn’t see notification because it was hidden in a bunch of notifications from another post I no longer follow… So I am trying to connect a form builder to my wix database in real time. I know I can use wix code to build my forms but but I am very limited in the programming department and this would save a lot of time and provide more options. I am building a form based web app that’s easily 95% form to site response. I have discovered 123FormBuilder.com and it looks great but… I don’t know how to connect it to my database. I asked about google sheets originally because that is a way to bridge the two. I assume Google would be easier to connect to than the form builders.

Hey John,

If you’re looking to avoid coding completely, I don’t you’ll be able to accomplish what you’re trying to do. However, with some code it is possible. I suggest using an automation tool such as Zapier or IFTTT to call a webhook built using an HTTP function .

The basic flow is:

  • A row is added in Google sheets

  • The Automation tool is triggered and calls your HTTP function

  • Your HTTP function receives the data from the row and adds it to your collection.

So i have a friend who’s an expert coder but doesn’t use wix. He said he’d do the code but i have to basically hand it to him. I looked into zapier today but i don’t think it will help completely because of the delay between submit and get. I need it to be instant. Could you give me the links to info that i need to hand to my friend to get him to set it up? Otherwise, the folks over at 123formbuilder are supposed to be working on it. I can’t understand why wix doesn’t have something set up to work instantly with Google Sheets since its so popular… every form builder I’ve looked at works instantly with them.

Hey John, your friend can look into this: Velo: Exposing a Site API with HTTP Functions | Help Center | Wix.com.

Hey John. You should add this idea to the feature request list.

Yeah, i tried to figure out how to add an idea for over an hour earlier. They should make support a little easier to use!

Just click “New Post,” and then write your idea. The title could be “Add support for Google Sheets,” and then you can flesh out your idea in the body of the post. Then click Publish when you’re done.

Yeah, Just tried… The title worked but the body wouldn’t.

CSV no more available, and zapper is not as easy as the video showed, at least i failed three days and gave up.

On the File menu, hover over “Download As,” and then choose the CSV option.

You may have just helped me with something, is there anyway for me to use the Download As, as an Automatic Way to upload to the database without going into the editor more than once to do so?

How can I add a pop in mysite on every update/change in google spread sheet
