Howdy - I’m creating a left of screen nav bar, and I’m adding a box behind it to make the menu headings more prominent. But I want the box to fade away into the images that I’m putting on my main screen. How can I apply a gradient (black to transparent) for the box? Do I need to got to PS or AI and create the object there then import it with transparent background>
Hi Bryan,
since Menu functionality isn’t directly related to Wix Code, could you please contact the support directly via email support@wix.com ?
your reply is currently the #1 result on searching “Create a gradient in WIX” - a recommendation to contact support@wix.com.
@wonderlane completely useless lol
It is possible to add gradient effect on image in wix
The easiest way I have seen is to create a gradient fill on some paint software (photoshop, krita, gimp etc), save this as a png, making sure that if you want the fade to be transparent, that your background is either not visable, or itself transparent. Then load this as an image in wix to use as a strip background, or where ever else would be useful. Knowing dimensions, or at least the ratio of the area you wish to add a gradient to is useful in order to ensure it fills how you’d imagine.
