I’m having trouble with
The Wix Harmony editor taking 2-3+ minutes to load, and being completely unable to publish any changes once it does load.
Working in
Wix Editor, Wix Harmony.

What I’m trying to do
Make and publish routine content updates to my site (text edits, blog posts). I just need the editor to load in a reasonable time and for the Publish button to actually work.
What I’ve tried so far
Tested on 2 different computers, 2 different browsers, and 2 different networks - same result every time
- Fully disabled my antivirus (Bitdefender) and re-tested with a stopwatch: load time was 2 minutes 38 seconds, and publishing still failed
- Created a brand new site on the same laptop, browser, and network - it loads normally and publishes without any issue, even with antivirus on
- Contacted Wix Support directly (Ref: 063100019) and completed all their suggested troubleshooting steps (browser updates, incognito, different network, disabling antivirus) with no change
Extra context
The affected site is not large: 12 pages (5 main, 7 sub), 7 blog posts, YouTube videos embedded with autoplay off, and only 49MB of 500MB storage used
- The issue developed gradually over time, with no single identifiable trigger
- I’ve noticed that navigating away from the browser tab while it’s loading seems to extend the load time even further, which makes me wonder if the editor is stalling on a specific sequential process rather than just loading slowly overall
- The slow loading and the failed publishing seem to be two separate issues, since even after the site eventually loads, publishing still fails every time.
- Based on the forum, I just realized that some other Wix users have had nearly identical symptoms — one described publish taking 30-40+ minutes, with the “Creating awesome stuff” loading screen stuck indefinitely, and specifically noted that switching to another browser tab causes it to get stuck permanently. This matches my own experience closely, which suggests this may be a broader platform issue with the publish process itself, rather than something isolated to my site alone. That said, my own A/B test (identical device/browser/network, but a brand-new site loads and publishes fine) suggests something about accumulated site state or sync history may be a factor — possibly something that affects sites as they age or grow, even modest ones like mine (12 pages, 7 blog posts, 49MB storage).
