In the Classic Wix platform you can hide/show pages through the site menu. There doesn’t appear to be that option available. Am I missing something? The reason I’m asking is I want to ‘hide’ the page name ‘home’ from the menu and use the logo to return to home page. Any suggestions?
following this as I can’t see a way to do it either. Even the nav menus don’t let you hide a page…very strange!
Here you go Tania. If you look at the help section and then put in Hiding a page it will come up with a list. Click on structuring your pages and go to the bottom.
Note: You can not hide a page from the main site menu, only from additional custom menus you create. However, you can delete the main site menu and replace it with a custom menu. Learn More
See if this works Tania.
-
Select the actual menu located on your page.
-
On the menu pop-up box select “manage menu”
-
At the bottom of the manage menu pop up box, select “+Add Pages”
-
Now un-check which pages you want to remove.
-
Press “Apply” at the bottom of the +Add Pages menu.
Note: From my experience, you may need to do this for each page. Wix if you’re listening, make a apply to all pages button. (if it doesn’t exist)
Hi Trav,
Thank you so much for that piece of information - worked a charm. I’m still getting used to working in Editor X. I was about to ‘throw in the towel’ last night when I remembered the Forum. Next challenge - breakpoints!
Hi Mina
Thank you so much for giving me that work around. I followed Trav’s instructions below and presto!
@tania Break points are nice! Just make sure to set the min&max of your sections on each break point so you don’t get any missing elements with weird window sizes. Rare but possible. This is the current site I’m building for my company.
@travislbateman Hi Trav… your site is looking great. Thank you for sharing that with me - I’m inspired. Just a note, I was so excited to try your solution to my home page query and it worked in edit mode, it worked in preview mode but it did not work in publish mode I’ll send a message to the EditorX help letting them know.
Thanks for sharing the steps to hide pages.
You asked, we listened!
In the next couple of days we will roll out a feature to select pages and a toggle to display all pages in a click.
We will post about this on the Forum when it is available.
