How Can I Migrate My WooCommerce Store to Wix?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been running my WooCommerce-based e-commerce store for a while now, but I’m considering moving to Wix for a more streamlined, all-in-one management experience.

My current store (https://www.zepanto.com) has over 2,000 custom-designed mouse pads and around 500 category pages. It works fine on WooCommerce, but I’m having challenges with SEO indexing, plugin maintenance, and mobile responsiveness. I’ve heard Wix offers better native performance and easier design flexibility without constantly dealing with third-party plugin updates.

Before I start the migration process, I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with:

  • Migrating large product catalogs from WooCommerce to Wix.
  • Handling 301 redirects for SEO during the transition.
  • Setting up product variants and custom options in Wix.
  • Maintaining or improving search engine rankings post-migration.

Has anyone here made a similar move? Any lessons learned or tools you’d recommend?

Thanks in advance for your insights!

I havnt personally done a large migration, only smaller ecom sites.

But you can import a cvs for your products. You can export a blank template csv from your site to see the requirements required to get the import correct. Which may end up adjusting the export from WooCommerce to suit the Wix requirements.

301 redirects are pretty srtaightforward and shouldnt be an issue.

It will all depend on variants and custom options requirements wether the built in Wix Store settings will be ok. There is always code to make it work.

Store SEO is also pretty straigntforward and always improving
