How can I pre sell a digital product?

Question:
Hi, How can I accept orders on a digital prodct that will not be availabe to send to the buyer until mid May? Im offering “pre launch” pricing. I do have WIX stores on my site but Pre Order is only availabe on physical producst, not digital. Thanks.

This site is built with the standard WIX editor, not studio.

Hi Ken,

Unfortunately pre-selling is not a feature of Wix Stores, most especially a digital product.

You could list the digital product and upload a PDF with instructions on how to retrieve or receive the product later. For example, you could have a hidden page with password protection, or simply send out a blast email with the product as an attachment, etc.

thats exactly what I thought of doing; creating a PDF that would be a “temporary” digitral product. The PDF coud thank them for purchasimg and provide further instructions on how and when they will receive their final product. Seems like it would work.
