I got so much backlash from my friend when I’m using Wix for my new site. A lot of SEO community said the same things that Wix make SEO isn’t possible to complete with other platform.
Nowadays, I know Wix developed quite far in term of SEO compared to 3 years ago. But few also said it’s still lacking in many aspect.
One i can relate to is pagespeed. Everyone know that the Pagespeed is one of the factor big or small for the site to rank. For wordpress you dont have to do much. Just compress pictures and buy plug in like WP Rocket, then your site got 90 scores up easily. But i feel like Wix cant do the same things.
If you go to you tube, there isnt even 10 videos teaching about SEO for Wix. Most video are like 3 years old and there are 1 or 2 last year.
You would think that if people can do a lot of SEO with Wix there will be many video creators lunch their versions of this topics to get likes and share. But the fact that it lack so much, even you barely can’t find the new version in YouTube alarm me.
If you compare SEO with other platform and Wix, there is no way Wix is wininng. But I want to know as of now, how far Wix able to catch up with others? or is there any things new coming up in term of SEO project that I should know off?
One more question, AI on google said when uploading pictures, Wix will auto compress pictures from JPG or whatever to .avif is this ture? because i try to luch the site and save the pics from the site. The pics are still the same surname as it’was uploaded.
