I have noticed wix websites are very slow, like frustratingly slow, we cannot modify any of the code that actually makes it slow, there’s always the crappy solutions like using webp files or using small images but once you have already made those changes, and the site is still slow, is there anything else we can do? or just suffer the slowness of wix websites? neither wix editor nor wix studio website are fast. Is there any way in which via code or some “hack” one can make the ux better on wix? on one of my sites www.tiendarocacr.com the “new” search bar is super slow and clients always complain that is unresponsive, or for example one has to constantly wait a couple of seconds before changing between pages or just loading the site for the first time is very slow
i know it’s not a simple homepage, but it shouldn’t take around 6 second before a first interaction
i have like 8 sites on wix, that have this speed problem, and if i find no solution i will have to migrate to something like wordpress to try and make them faster…
very frustrating to see a good system like wix just ignore this problem and keep on pushing new features on very slow websites
