In Wix Studio, datasets are not part of the UI anymore (great). But how can we select them via $w if there is no more element?
That become especially a problem when you have multiple dataset on a page
They’re in the right hand menu… which is great, but annoying that to rename them etc you have to select an element to connect, choose the CMS section, then select the dataset part from there and jump over to the left hand code section and you’ll be selecting the Dataset element, sort of… it’s very unintuitive but better than the old widget datasets for sure, just long winded…
Also can’t we just combine the name of the dataset (which means nothing) with the ID name of the element (for use in code etc…) why on earth were these 2 things ever separate things in the first place? It really does need streamlining to become more user friendly!!
