Question:
When I add a dataset to my page, I do not see the dataset icon I was used to see, to be able to configure the dataset settings.
I have tried adding it to a new page, and I notice the dataset icons not showing, but also not showing in the Layers. However, after adding the dataset, I do get the panel to configure the dataset. But I cannot find I way to open this panel with an existing dataset.
My question is: where did the icon go and why is the dataset not visible in the Layers?
Product:
Wix Editor
What are you trying to achieve:
Configuring dataset settings
What have you already tried:
Search this forum, re-tried my steps in a blank page
Additional information:
This used to work
Add:
Panel show dataset, layers still empty:
Panel shows all datasets on page, by editor and Layers shows none:
the icons have all been removed and all dataset properties can be adjusted in the page connections panel (as shown above). it is a connection to the page so it is not an actual elemnt that needs to be in the layers panel.

Thanks for your quick answer!
I missed this change to Editor X, and while looking at the documentation couldn’t find a mention of this change in UI either.
Also some of the official documentation still shows and uses the icon (see links below).
This leads me to the question: how can users be updated to changes like this?
This disappearance of the dataset icon is a amateur mistake. You can’t delete a section if u placed an invisible Dataset. If you want to move the dataset to, the top of the page, u can’t. If you want to move dataset to another section so u can delete old section… u can’t.
So WOKE and stupid making dataset icon invisible when WIX lacks so many other simple features…
