How do you add a single dynamic page?

I have been adding text and images to my website for 30 years but I have now reached the limit of 100 ‘Static Pages’. How do I create a single ‘Dynamic Page’? In simple easy to understand steps please. Thanks. Bob

Hi Bob

First of all maybe consider converting all your static pages to dynamic (if possible, since this is best practice in Wix. (Just out of curiosity, why are they static, what kind of pages are they?)

To do what you asked:

1. Create a Collection in the CMS (since dynamic pages are created based on a Collection (“Database”). Each item (row) in that database technically represents a version of a dynamic page. Each item (row) can have multiple fields (like name, Color, or any other values). Thus, to create only one dynamic page, you only add one item (row) to the collection.

Follow this support Article if you’re unsure on how to create a collection.

2. Then setup a dynamic page for that collection
Follow this Article to setup the dynamic page

3. design the dynamic page according to your needs

4. link all the content of the dynamic page

Hope this helps, Bob

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Interesting thought but I’ve had a long chat with a ‘human’ from Wix but it led nowhere. Why are they 'Static? Because that term is used by Wix for the first 100 pages. What kind of pages are they? A continuing blog. ‘Help’ from Wix not helpful. It seems that others have had the same problem and been unable to resolve the problem. Why is the terminology used impossible to understand? I have spent a lifetime resolving problems in the engineering world but this one continues to defy understanding.
