How to add a page background?

In the old editor, I was able to add a page background image which would then be shown across all pages and I would be able to add scroll effects like parrallex etc. I dont see that option in Editor X. Am I missing it somewhere? Thank you

Same here!

You aren’t missing any hidden setting; the option is not available yet. To this day, you can only set solid colors as page backgrounds –which I know very well to have its limitations.

I myself sent this as a feature request through the editor’s feedback widget and was answered by @Stefano from the Wix Customer Care Service (before it split and became the EditorX Team), who told me these features are not available but might be soon… however I sent this request by March 2020. You might, as well, request it too through ‘EditorX > Help > Request a Feature’ so the Team begin to take it into consideration for future releases.

Know that you can, however, stretch images & video (players or boxes) to full sections, which I know hasn’t the same effect but it’s all we have for now.

P.D.1. I don’t know if it’s achievable through the Velo (previously Corvid), but you may ask in its Forum .
P.D.2. Setting an Image or video to ‘Fixed’ position in scroll (Inspector Pannel) won’t work because all fixed elements are arranged on top of all the rest no matter what, and you don’t want that for a back ground.

Place the image you want as a background in all the sections (fully stretched), then set them all to the scroll effect “reveal”.
You will want to color code the page background to match your image.
Be careful that all the image focal points are exactly the same.
Hope that solves your issue.
