How to fix language switch drop down to flag icon?

I’m having trouble with
I have added the multi language function on my website and it is currently shown as a drop down for desktop and mobile. I would like to replace it with just a flag icon.
When I place an object I can’t link it to the “change the language” function.
Or even IT → EN will work

You can change the layout from dropdown to Horizontal, and then change the Language options display setting to Flags only
