Hi, I’m trying to create a site where only paid Subscribers (people who have purchased a Subscription) can become Site Members. I have tried modifying the Lightbox so it displays the Subscription purchase options, but this then takes you to the sign up form which creates an infinite loop with the Lightbox. Greatful for any help or advice.

I am struggling to find a way to achieve this. We hold Events and use Wix Events for registration and payment, but the only restriction available is to restrict to Site Members. And you can’t force Site members to buy a membership subscription.
You have to monitor every sign up.
Ideally you would be able to keep them disabled until they buy a subscription - but they can’t buy a subscription if they are disabled.

So you can do this by going to the page settings and making so that it’s ‘members only’ with ‘Only selected members or paying customers.’ option selected. You should always want people to sign up and become ‘free members’ so you can use your email marketing to encourage them to buy the membership. From there you should be able to restrict who can and can’t access components or pages of your website. This basically forces them to purchase a subscription because they can’t access any page with that setting placed.
Hi Joseph, thanks, I understand how it works at the moment. The issue is we are in the situation where we want to enable purchasing of a subscription to allow access to discounted tickets, and only subscription purchases get access to discounted tickets. If a customer purchases a subscription, they should automatically become a site member. To make people have to become a site member and also purchase a subscription (or vice versa), is confusing and onerous, and not what the customer wants to do. Yes, we are happy for people to sign up as a free site member and not purchase a subscription, but if they purchase a subscription they should automatically become a site member. Looking for a way to do this.
