How To Grow A Team of 1

Hello. I’m wondering how other partners grew their team from one person? I want to take on more work, but also know that I’m extremely picky on how customers are treated and the type of design I do. I could definitely take on additional work if I had some help doing the design and building of sites.

What did other partners do? How did they do it when it was just them?

Focus on what you’re good at (One or 2 packages with your own clear process). This would maximize your efficiency and minimize the time required to complete a project.

Ofcourse you’ll need to try new things every couple of months.

If that doesn’t click with you, consider partnering with or outsourcing what doesn’t make you unique.

Wow I’m interested in this topic too and open to collaborating with the right person, as I do web design, graphic design and content writing as well as digital marketing.

This is a great topic indeed! I look forward to hearing more.

Thanks @bakiralkhateeb that is definitely a good point regarding the packages; and I have tried outsourcing but it’s always a disaster because I’m really, really picky about design and so the idea of an actual partner I can work with is super intriguing to me!

Thanks Steven and I agree! I’d love to hear more on this topic because I imagine there might be others like me who are in the same or similar situation.

Take more project first, you will find you have too much lead.

Then, you can hire people to do something low-level, e.g. import product from other platform, create a website and replace text in template.

and you only do the high-class task: complex coding, databases chaining

If you take a lot lead yourself, your client won’t wait for you a long time, that’s way a team can handle this for you.
