How to place transparent header over strip

I’m trying to get my header (logo/menu/button) to be visible over top of a full-width strip that has a background image. It appears the default arrangement of the header is the back behind other elements. The top of my page looks something like the attached. Note:

• I don’t want to freeze the header. I know when the header is frozen, it comes to the front of the page. Again, I don’t want to freeze it
• Each page will have a different background image in the strip, so it’s not worth trying to add the background image to the header.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi! Im not sure i understand you.
So you want those 3 elements to be in one place over full width strip? They should stay on same place while you scroll the page? Or just at top of page? On all site pages or only this one?

Silly question - what stops you from just placing those elements over the strip?

Hi Mikhail, thanks for your reply!

To clarify what I’m looking for, I would like the 3 elements to be visible over top of the full width strip. When the page scrolls, the elements should also scroll off the page, much like a traditional header.

What’s strange to me is when I create a new page with a header & footer, the 3 elements positioned inside of the header remain hidden behind the image. When I create a page WITHOUT a header & footer, I’m able to show the 3 elements in front of the strip, HOWEVER the major drawback is I lose the benefits of the header as the elements become independent from each other. In other words, if I update a text link on one page I have to update it on every page to be consistent.

I feel like I could be missing something really obvious here. Can you help?

Thanks again!

@mikhail-spirin-wix Any thoughts on the above? Sorry it took 2 days to reply, the forum email notification went to spam. Thanks!

I figured it out. I’m not sure why I was having issues, but I ended up dragging a new strip to the top of the site.

Yes, that’s why i asked. Couldn’t understand why you don’t want to place elements just on top of that stripe
Ok, please ask more questions if you need… Will try to help you

Hey Andrew! I’m having the same issue…when I drag a strip to the top the header still disappears behind it. How exactly did you get it to work?

Same here, any update?
