I built a QR membership card for Wix to make membership checks simpler

One workflow I kept running into with Wix memberships was the gap between having a member or Pricing Plan record and being able to check that status quickly in the real world.

For example, at a reception desk, event, class, or members-only location, staff may need a simple way to confirm that the person in front of them currently has the expected membership or plan without manually searching through the dashboard.

I built Digital Membership Card QR around that specific workflow.

The idea is simple:

  • give the member a digital membership card with a QR code
  • scan the QR when verification is needed
  • use the current Wix membership / plan information for the check

I intentionally kept the scope narrow. It is not meant to replace Wix Members, Pricing Plans, or a full CRM, and it is not a general profile-sync tool.

I’m the developer of the app, and it’s available on the Wix App Market:

I’d be interested in feedback from anyone running memberships, classes, clubs, events, or other workflows where staff need to verify a member quickly. Is there anything you would expect this type of check to show that would make it more useful?

Nice, clean scope. One thing I’d want to know as a staff user is whether the QR is static per member or rotates. A static code is easy to screenshot and share with someone else, which defeats the point at the door. If it’s static now, a short-lived rotating token (even just refreshing every few minutes while the card screen is open) would close that gap without adding real complexity.

Also worth asking: does the scan hit live Wix membership data every time, or is there any local caching? At a busy event with spotty wifi, a stale “valid” result is worse than a slow one, so I’d want the scanner to clearly show if it’s showing a cached vs a fresh check.
