I created my first blog website using wix 2018. I then started making some websites for my friends of a friend, charged for it and switched to other code platforms. Now I’ve noticed that wix is growing and has added many features in the past few years, including the new platform EditorX.
Now I decided to become a freelancer, so I want to learn more about wix.
I have searched a lot on internet but still I’m confused What skills should I learn to become a pro?
- I know that HTML and JS is must.
- Do I need to learn React, typescript & Node.js?
- To make web components What skills do i need?
I really appreciate any help you can provide.

If you’re interested in building sites with Wix, I think you’re probably fine not knowing HTML, JS, React, Typescript, or Node.js. As Wix has grown, we’ve continued to introduce new features with Velo, our fullstack development platform. Velo allows you to add JavaScript to your Wix sites, performing many of the operation you may have once thought were only possible on sites coded from scratch in HTML. While we don’t yet support React, we have been slowly introducing type safety features with TypeScript, which you can learn more about here . Also, we currently support backend development with Node.js, allowing you to install 3rd-party NPM packages to use on your site.
None of these are necessary to build sites with Wix, but our hope is to help you build increasingly complex sites that grow along with your skillset.
