Igloohome smart lock

Evening,

Our facility uses a smart lock (igloo home smart lock) - which is compatible with air bnb etc however our only problem is our facility isn’t a home to rent out so can not use their sites.

This is where I need your help, can I apply the coding for the lock (if igloo homes supply this) to our website to use with the booking form? (customer books they recieve a unique code with their booking to gain access to the facility). If yes, how?

Igloo Homes have provided the API key, however without the code guessing this is useless?

If all the above gets nowhere, does anyone know of a third party software (or whatever it is) that would support the igloo home device on wix? Tried contacting wix direct and they’ve advised me to come on the forum so here we are.

The first question is:
Are your igloo-locks able to change passwords via W-LAN/Wifi?
As i assume, your locks can’t have always the same PASSWORDs, so that means you will have to change them with every new VISITOR.

If you are not near to your rental-homes, you perhaps have the opertunity to change LOCK-PASSWORDs via → connected-W-LAN, right?

It now depends on the locks-software/firmware, if they are able to communicate via http-protokol and if they support things like REST-APIs.

So if they do, you will have a chance to achieve your aim.

All you need to generate is a connection to your site, where you can get the new generated PASSWORD by the LOCK, which you than can provide to your visitors withiin a booking.

You will need to contact the device’s manufacturer for details on their API.

Then, using the API, you will need to read about how to access 3rd party services in the article Velo: How to Access 3rd-Party Services with the Fetch API .

A nice simple example to start with is Create a Weather Widget . Also, take a look at the Advanced examples , many of them access 3rd party services. A couple of good examples to start with are: Example: Using the Places API from Google Maps services and Example: Send email with the SendGrid REST interface .

I have the same problem, did you find a solution?

We use igloohome algopins with no internet to the lock. It is effectively a padlock on a gate.
