Inexplicable gap above/below collapsible elements

Hi! I’ve been dealing with crazy, unbidden gaps that appear on my live site or in Preview, but not in the editor, above and/or below collapsed elements. (And I double-checked they are collapsed and not hidden.)

I’ve mostly gotten them under control by following a Wix phone support tip to add a bunch of blank (invisible) container boxes instead of just blank spaces between elements, so that the page in Editor looks like all elements are all touching, and that’s helped with most of it.

But if you go to https://www.thepeaceguide.org/approval (site still under construction - if you need a password, it’s “pax”) and scroll to the bottom, you’ll see a big gap above the 3 circles that’s not supposed to be there. What can I do to get rid of this gap??

Thanks so much!!

This is still driving me crazy, and I’d be so grateful for any help!! I’ve tried everything I can possibly think of.

Wait, I found a solution!! Here it is, in case anyone else has this issue: I went to the collapsed element that was closest to the phantom gap, and dragged it away from its spot. Then I clicked, held, and dragged the mouse over the empty spot it left, and in this way I found a random little transparent box that had gotten left behind there. Once i deleted that box, and moved the collapsed element back into place, and double-checked that all the boxes/elements were perfectly contiguous, it worked again.

Note: the phantom gap was about 200 pixels high, which meant it was both smaller than the collapsed element, and a lot larger than the random box behind it. So there were no clues as to what was causing a gap that size. But I hope this method will be helpful to others!

Hello Bunny,

Great that you solved the problem, and bonus points for posting your solution for everyone else :)!

Hey, thanks, Majd!
