Hi, I’m experiencing a recurring issue on my Wix site. Every time I make changes to elements like alignment or sizing, everything looks fine when I save. But when I revisit the site later, the layout appears messed up—alignments shift, and things aren’t where I left them. It feels like a bug or glitch. Has anyone else experienced this? Any help or fixes would be appreciated!

What are you trying to achieve:
I’m trying to design a clean, consistent layout by adjusting the alignment and size of elements across my pages. I want the changes to stay exactly as I set them—both in the editor and on the live site. But every time I come back, things shift or get misaligned, and I have to fix them again. I need the layout to stay stable after saving.
I’ve double-checked all alignments, used rulers and grids, and followed tutorials on proper element positioning. I also tried clearing cache, switching browsers, and publishing multiple times, but the issue keeps happening.
Hi, I have had this happen in the mobile editor, not on desktop…and I could not find a solution.
A couple of questions:
In addition to saving your design, are you also hitting publish? (I have forgotten to hit publish on more than one occasion.)
What browser do you work in? Perhaps try working in a browser different than you usually use to see if that helps. I like to work in Chrome, but when things aren’t going well there, I switch to Firefox. I rarely have problems there in Firefox.
Finally, when all else fails, clearing the browser’s cache seems to have a magical effect on improving the editor’s performance…
What you can try is to set back your screen-zoom back to → 100%, in 50% of all cases it is the changed screen-zoom the Wix-Editor has an issue with.
This is a well known bug since decades! I started about 4 years ago, i called this effect the → “moving-elements”. Each time you save your design-setup inside Wix-Editor → elements are moving like magic → but this is not a real magic → it’s a mess!
So to make sure it do not happen that often, do not use the screen-zoom when you are working on Wix-Editors! Always use 100% of screen-zoom.
The only thing you can do in this case, is to contact the Wix-Support, describing them your issue in detail, so they can maybe this time figure out the real issue for this bug…
