Link on button opens different page to what it's linked to

I’m having trouble with
I have a number of pages where the content is driven by the CMS. There is a page with a collection of the links (eg this https://www.francisjames.org/level4-civilengineering) but when you click the link to go to the page, a different page opens up.

For example, if I hover over the button for course 402, the webpage for course 402 shows, but when you click, it takes you to course 404 instead.

I have inherited this website, so didn’t set all the pages up, but I cannot see why it’s doing this.

What I’m trying to do
I need to make the links work properly!

What I’ve tried so far
I have looked at every place where I can edit links/slugs, but cannot find why it is redirecting. All pages are published. I cannot even enter the web address for a page that doesn’t load, it just redirects again.

Please help me make sense of this, as I have approx 40 broken links to fix asap!

Hmm. If this is set up using CMS you may need to go into your cms collection and update the links manually. See if this helps: CMS: About Page Link Collection Fields for Dynamic Pages | Help Center | Wix.com Also, I noted the the “Back” page buttons don’t work either.

When I go into the CMS for, for example, Course 402, the course description link goes to web address ending 402. But as soon as you click on the link, even in the CMS, the page for course 404 opens. I can’t work out what’s causing what I can only think is a redirect.

I will check out the back buttons too!

If I’m following correctly, you have a field in the CMS that includes the URL you want to link the visitor to?

If so, make sure it’s connected to the buttons link action :slight_smile:

Any screenshots of what you’re seeing/have done would help too

Hi, I’ve solved the problem for now by replacing the whole pages with different designs! When I have more time I will try to resurrect those pages and may well be back then!
