Hi. I am looking for help on how to/if possible to connect our new wix online store to our current brick & mortar shop POS to keep track of stock? Is there a way to create a trigger to fire on a wix sale to update the stock level on the POS and vice versa? Also when we increase the stock quantity on the POS that it will fire a trigger to update wix online store quantity? They are connected via LAN and have the programming knowhow on the POS end of things. Can it be done by API programming? We just need to keep a track of product stock levels at a minimum and are happy to deal with price changes etc manually if needs be! Many thanks, Peter
Hi Peter,
As I understand it, there are 3 features that you are looking for:
- Getting an event when a new order is created
- Be able to get the inventory for a specific set of products (the ones from the order)
- Be able to update the inventory of a specific product
All the above are things that we are working on these days and should be available soon

Many thanks for your reply Oded. I am thrilled to hear that. We have purchased the ecwid app through wix and are planning to use it for the next year as it contains store webhooks which means we can keep track of the stock items that we sell both online and instore. When that becomes available on wix then ideally we would revert back as we already had our products on the wix store before we realised it didn’t have the functionality we needed!
How will we know when the functionality you mention above becomes available?
