Links to collections no longer appear on page in editor

When you create a table, Wix has always put a link to the collection you’re using off to the side in the margins for quick reference.

I believe you are taking about the dataset icons.

Yes, Wix has removed those little icons and you can’t bring them back, but you can still access them from the side panel. Here’s a detailed article about that:
