I added a list table showing first/last name of members from a database. It shows up fine in my preview, but when I publish it and view the live site - its gets stuck, and only shows “loading…”

Please double check the permissions of the data collection and if the sandbox is synced to the live site . This issue usually happens when one of these two are not set up properly. If the issue persists, please send us the site URL so I can take a deeper look into why this may be happening.

Yep! that was it. I had permissions set to only let admin view that data.
Quick follow up question. Does the data collection need to be manually synced each time there are new entries added (these are entries coming from a membership form on the site)? Is there a way to have it stay synced and thus include these new submissions?

Since the data that is entered on the live site is stored in the live data collection, you won’t have to sync the data every time there is a new entry. If you want the live site data to show up in the editor however, you will want to sync the live site data to the sandbox.
