My CSV File wont upload

Im uploading a data base via the instructions and correct CSV file instructions - even using the WIX template I downloaded, but I keep getting a message of “All your contacts are missing an email or phone. Fix it and upload again.” I dont need a phone but all emails are on the file. Ive deleted lines I thought were problematic but still no success. Please can anyone assist - quite urgent.

Try this checklist

Check for:

  1. Blank rows at the bottom
  2. Rows where the email cell contains only spaces
  3. Emails with trailing spaces
  4. Cells formatted as formulas instead of plain text
  5. Column header name inconsistency

Also make sure:

  1. There are no merged cells
  2. The file is saved as CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited)
  3. There are no special characters in the header row

You might want to open the file in a plain text editor for these check-ups.

Also, try to copy and paste your data into a new CSV file using the Wix template again (values only).
