When testing my site in the real world, the pages seem to load really slow, especiallty the product page and the cart page. I’ve followed all the optimization guidelines, but of no use.
What I want to do, and I thought this might be possible, was to respond to all links immediately with a “loading” icon or just to dim the screen or something - just to give the user a visual clue that SOMETHING is happening. Right now the user may think the link is broken and give up. Two seconds is way too long to wait.
