I’ve designed several websites on the classic WIX editor, but the real challenge was to create a new website on EditorX.
Designing on EditorX was like learning to speak a new language.
Being a classic WIX veteran, It was challenging at the beginning. But once I understood the new rules, I was really impressed with the new possibilities.
The branding and visual language were created previously while working on the brand’s corporate presentation.
The brief was to create a website that is dynamic and uses motion and animation to emphasize innovation & technology in the Agri-Food Tech field, but at the same time to give it a feel of a traditional venture capital well based company.
Special attention was given to the 100vh header, where I created a high-tech Agri Food video collage that catches the eye once entering the website.
I tried to introduce some sticky position scrolling effects , but I found that some clients prefer the classic animations rather than the new EditorX possibilities.
The major difference that I experienced in the project’s workflow, was the fact that I am dealing with Desktop | Tablet | Mobile all at once, while my classic editor workflow was to complete the desktop and move to the mobile, only once the desktop is completed.
I would be glad if anyone can share thoughts about the workflow desktop-tablet-mobile: do you work in parallel on all breakpoints, or leave tablet and mobile to the end?
