New Media Manager more of a nightmare

Does anyone else feel like the new Media Manager is more frustrating than helpful? All of the folders I had setup are gone and because it automatically pulls in all files by all contributors, nothing is no longer organized. It will take hours (if not days) for us to organize this. Is there any way for us to use the old Media Manager? We get this is to help make things easier, but it honestly has added a massive amount of additional work for us now.

Also, not being able to access all of the files from all of the sites we design/manage is another pain point. There are some images we use across multiple sites and while I know we can upload/import them from the other sites, what used to take 1 or 2 steps now take 4, which doesn’t seem like a big deal but it uses up time (especially because, again, nothing remained in separate folders).

We completely appreciate Wix updating the system but this update has created a nightmare. Would rather the focus had been on things like adjusting the membership page/apps, or tweaking the site search app(s) – things we need for our customers/users. Argh!

[@cmkogos2] Thank you for the feedback :). I hear you in that change is a departure from the previous structure and I’m curious to see if others feel the same or maybe they prefer the new structure.

Hi @cmkogos2 , there is a great post in this forum (https://www.wix.com/experts/home/forum/general-discussion/new-media-manager-discussion) about the New Media Manager where there is room for sharing your thoughts, your feedback, to have a constructive discussion and get directly in touch with the Product Manager of this product.

It gives you a great insights on how the New Media Manager works, what the thoughts behind designing it the way it is now are and what they are working on based on our feedback. Maybe it will help you understand and even answers some of your questions. And please share your opinion there, maybe there are other people who can help you or sharing the same thoughts.
