Newsletter is being sent to anyone who becomes a site member

Hello everyone,

Every time a person becomes a member, contact, or customer, whether by booking a class, purchasing an event ticket, or completing an order, they automatically receive the newsletter that was already sent earlier that same month to my subscribers.

This causes two problems: it uses up my monthly email balance, and more importantly, it sends a newsletter to people who may not have opted in or for whom the content is no longer relevant or up to date.

I have searched for an automation or setting that could be triggering this behavior, but I haven’t been able to find anything that controls it. I would be very grateful for any guidance on where this setting is located and how I can deactivate it.

That doesn’t sound like expected behaviour? I’m guessing you used email marketing for the newsletter email, right?

My first thought was Automations, as it seems the most “connected” to everything you mention :upside_down_face:
