Not able to delete contacts

Hi! I am quite new to Wix but so far I am learning every day and I’m very satisfied with the result we produced.

Today we launched our website for the public. But what I noticed in the WIX CRM (which is important for us) is that I have a lot of “duplicate contacts”. I wanted to delete those duplicates but then I got this message:

“One contactperson can not be deleted because he/she is a site member. Site members can be deleted in the memberlist”.

But when I navigate to this memberlist, this person is not there.

It started when I tried to add an author to a blog post. Which didn’t work. And now I have 10 people with the same name in our CRM. I don’t like that clutter but I seem not to be able to clean this up.

Any tips from the community on this topic? Thank you in advance!

I have the same problem. This is the first post I’ve found related to the subject and this post is more than a year old. I’ll keep looking for the answer.

I am experiencing the exact same thing. Is this some type of bug? I am still in the early testing phase of my site and created a few contacts for testing purposes but need to delete them however it appears that I can not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :slight_smile:

Yes, this is a bug. Please submit a ticket to Wix Customer Care so they can let the product team know that more users are experiencing this issue, and then notify you as soon as it is resolved. Thank you.

There is one additional personal nuance that I noticed that may be related to this bug.

A few days ago, my ‘sign up’ page was working perfectly. I coded it to collect information from users via a custom form and send that data to a ‘members collection dataset’ AND register the user to my site at the same time. Shortly after realizing the CRM bug, I noticed that my sign up code no longer worked properly. It still allows users to sign up and pushes data to my ‘members dataset’ however it no longer ‘registers & populate’ user data in the contacts/site member location.

Any chance the bug that I’m experiencing may also be impacting my sign up page

I’m pretty new to Wix so it could very likely be my lack of skill. lol

I’m still having this issue, I have 1 mail adress in 17 contacts, which I cannot delete because it’s a site member.
But I can’t find the contact in the site member page.
