Dear WIX Studio community - PLEASE help me (and many, many others, if I read the comments across this forum) understand HOW to get the Studio Editor to a state of “acceptable” peformance.
I am using the WIX Studio editor with an objectively very powerful Windows machine and I have to wait probably 1-2 seconds on every single “click” on anything in the editor… moving objects is random and hoping that you got it right after the delay etc. - this is regardless of which Browser I use (have tried Chrome, Edge and Firefox) and regardless of whether I have anything else open in the background or not (with the “best case” being nothing else at all open except the browser window with WIX Studio).
Watching various content creators on Youtube, it DOES seem to be possible to get decent performance out of the editor for some… WHAT is it exactly that you guys are doing? How is it such a widespread performance problem that is addressed nowhere?
Please help - we depend on this platform for our (small) business and need this to work long–term…
Hi, Bademeister212 !!
I’ve been hearing about this issue quite a lot recently in the community. Now that you mention it, I feel like I might have experienced something similar occasionally in the past. However, speaking from my personal experience at the moment, I don’t think I’ve encountered this issue recently.
For context, I’m using an 8GB M1 Mac (which I’ve been thinking of replacing soon), working in Google Chrome while keeping multiple other browsers open. I haven’t faced any significant issues so far. That said, I do occasionally run into system-wide freezes due to low memory. I tend to leave things cluttered - I’m the type of person who can’t keep my room tidy. so I often have over 100 tabs open in Chrome while working on Wix Studio. Despite this, it seems to be functioning fine on my end.
However, given that so many others seem to be encountering the same issue, I believe this is something that should be taken more seriously and discussed further. It’s human nature to ignore problems that don’t directly affect us, but these could eventually become issues for us too. Addressing these problems is precisely what communities are meant for.
If I come across similar posts in the future, I think we need to start gathering as much information as possible—such as the user’s PC specs, Wi-Fi speed, whether they’re using a VPN, and the country where they’re operating Wix Studio. By doing so, we can identify any common factors among users experiencing issues and work toward making Wix Studio a smoother experience for everyone.

…I think this… somehow, I feel that the whole thing is actually a rip-off… nothing works as intended.
