Hi all.

So I design websites on Wix for clients, one thing that keeps popping up on if Wix has that I have to say no to is:

“Can I add how much the product has cost so I don’t have to do it on a separate spreadsheet?”

Realistically they are asking if Wix can allow them to see how much profit they are making per item as well as how much it has cost them to buy. Maybe tie this in with the track inventory section a bit like Magento?

I’m not sure how it would work if or when the cost price changes though… just something to think on i suppose.

If anyone has come across this issue or has found a way to get around it, please let me know

Hey there!

Are you referring to having two different cost fields (one internal, for the vendor) and the other for the public sale price?

Or is this tied into importing goods (for example, when using dropshipping)?

The former, a field (not visible to the visitors) where the vender can put the cost and see the markup for profit calculations instead of having to refer to an external spreadsheet

There is a place to add Cost of Goods to the catalog item, but I don’t know how to surface it in reports.
