Product slider gallery - Hover border not working

I have added a slider gallery for products. When hovering, a few of the border strokes are not showing up. Any idea why this might be happening? I feel like i’ve tried everything. The hover is working fine on the full store page.

I’m trying to get every sides stroke to reveal on hover.

Replace the border settings with internal and not external.
Because it’s a side-scrolling gallery there is hiding outside the borders
