Reassigning a premium plan to a new site - Why isn't it appearring?

Hi Wix users!

We have just built a new version of our site and we’re ready to launch and switch the premium plan from the current live, old version of the site to the latest version that we’ve been building in the background.

I’ve gone through the process to reassign a premium plan to an alternative site however it’s not showing the new version in the list of sites to switch the plan to (See image/video below)

I’m guessing it has something to do with the fact one says Wix Studio and one doesn’t?

Can anybody advise?

We don’t mind paying the price difference but we only have one URL so don’t want to pay for two live sites when there’ll only be one that’s being used.

Are you the owner of both sites?

Yes we own both sites, I personally built them both under my profile.

I’m thinking it has something to do with the fact one is Wix Studio and the new one isn’t?

I know you can move a Premium plan from a Wix site and apply it to a Studio site (Wix → Studio), but I’m not sure if the same flow exists for moving a Studio plan to a Wix Premium (Studio → Wix).

If you still have a fair bit of time left on the Studio plan (e.g. you bought it for a year long last month), then it might be worth opening a ticket with Customer Care to see if they have any options for you.

If it’s coming to the end, you should be able to cancel/turn off auto-renew, and then purchase a new plan for the Wix site
